Key success factors for city logistics from the perspective of city management

Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this study is to identify and assess the significance of the key success factors for city logistics from the perspective of city management. The list of key success factors was developed on the basis of the authorial SLIM-PREF model. In order to achieve the objective two surveys − the first with expert-scientists and the other among the representatives of local authorities in the selected capitals in European countries − were conducted. The research shows that among the most critical success factors for urban logistics from the perspective of urban management are those that relate to the activities of planning; organizational; informational and marketing and related to infrastructure development.
