Enterprise security management strategies in conditions of sectoral threats

Summary/Abstract: This paper presents the problem of identification and analysis of sectoral threats from the point of view of strategic enterprise security management. At the beginning we defined the notion of security management; then the notion of threats; including sectoral threats. The article describes in detail the threats related to competition; cooperation; and customers. These descriptions are based on the analysis of the risk factors of 319 companies listed on the Stock Exchange in Warsaw. In the presentation of security management strategy we assume that the strategies of counteracting sectoral threats should be integrated with the strategy of the entire enterprise.
