Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article is to determine the importance of the concept of corporate social responsibility in building partnerships in the supply chain. In the last period, one could notice that more and more international companies implementing their strategies which are based on the idea of sustainable development, evaluate and qualify their suppliers being guided by ethical standards in carrying out economic activities. The article analyzes the requirements of multinational companies to their suppliers in implementing the elements of the concept of corporate social responsibility. The results of analyzes show that business clients often define to their suppliers very specific requirements for ensuring the quality and continuity of supply, environmental protection, building relationships with employees, and ethical behavior.
