Summary/Abstract: The implementation of CSR requires a strategic and tailored approach to business. This implies the need to seek new solutions and tools. Such a tool is the compliance mechanism which is defined as a management tool aimed at ensuring compliance activities undertaken by the organization with law, internal regulations as well as ethical standards. Compliance and corporate social responsibility must be considered from the perspective of interdependence, as complementary tools creating the ethical culture of the organization. The aim of the article is to present the essence and principles of functioning of compliance mechanism as well as an attempt to demonstrate the space and the benefits it can bring to the organization when taken into account in a CSR strategy.
