Summary/Abstract: The object of this article is to analyse the manner and the extent of implementation of the provisions of the concordat between the Holy See and the Republic of Poland (1993) on a religious form of civil marriage contract. The author attempts to determine whether and to what extent the provisions of the Concordat concerning civil marriage and the clergy were implemented into the law. It does so in reference to the commitments undertaken by the contracting parties as the implementation of a treaty law pacta sunt servanda.
