Promoting the Wielkopolska dialect on the Internet. Research report

Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article is to show the forms of promotion and distribution of the Wielkopolska dialect on the Internet. The sources that were used in this study are interviews with respondents residing the międzychodzki district, a survey conducted among young people speaking this dialect and the most popular Internet forms, which affect the behavior of the dialect in the language of the younger generation of users. The article describes: Internet memes, a social networks fanpage, dictionary entries in an electronic form, blogs, music promoted by websites, clothing, and everyday objects that are distributed on auction sites – the author takes into account the use of these forms in order to promote and disseminate the Wielkopolska dialect.
