Summary/Abstract: György Aranka is mostly known for his science organization activities, and became famous during the reception history, however, his literary work, and inside that his poetry is much less known. In my dissertation I’m analyzing one slice of Aranka’s diverse poetry examined on the basis of archival and library research, namely from his occasional poems those ones that were written to women. The greetings of women are a significant proportion in his welcome poems. He wrote greeting poems not only to the lady members of noble families, but also to citizen women, so in this sense is characterized by massive modernization. In my dissertation I examine these verses speak to who, if his career is linked with his personal relationships (what are his real intentions with these poems), or this relationship-building gesture is only for the care of social relationships or for his career’s progress?
