Summary/Abstract: In this text shows the marriage law issues relating to the effects of epilepsy in the context of the validity of the marriage. Literature has been used in the field of neurology, psychiatry and canon law. Considerations have been divided into three parts. The first one shows the definition of the disease. In that part of it are also types of epilepsy and the reason for its occurrence. Then shows what psychiatric disorder may be accompanied by or be a consequence of this disease. The last part contains an analysis of the Code of Canon Law regarding consensual incapacity to marry. It has been the conditions for causing inability to consent a valid marriage.
