Summary/Abstract: As nonfinite verbal form, the Romanian Gerund creates a wide range of stylistic devices, expressing actions in progress and thus making things, objects and persons more dynamic. The aim of this article is to present some expressive values of the Gerund as they occur in Romanian poetry and prose.
