Summary/Abstract: The authoress raises great human questions such as “who am I?,” “what do I live for?,” “where do I go to?,” “what prospects do I have?” – in a word, “what is a purpose (sense) of my life?.” She notices that these questions lost their importance and fundamental character in modern culture. Even the very sense of asking about a purpose or sense of human life is sometimes undermined (skepticism, nihilism). The authoress indicates elementary reasons of reducing the interest in persistent human questions, or even disregarding the purpose and sense of human life. In part they come from a crisis of truth. She remarks that our culture has broken off with the reality of objectively existing world, the reality of man, and the really existing God. In order to understand an existential situation of man, it is necessary to use, in the opinion of the authoress, the metaphysical cognition that ultimately indicates reasons of the existence and dynamism of reality – the world of nature, thing, and human being. As a crown of all metaphysical investigations concerning sources of existence, the dynamic nature and purposes of beings, there is a theory of participation as formulated in the realistic philosophy of being.
