Summary/Abstract: The paper presents fields and possibilities of information and communication technologies in building educational space. The short genetic outline of applying education informatics in Polish schools as well as changes of application and education strategies with use of multimedia were described in the paper. The selected psychological factors and cognitive preferences in educational actions were also shown in the paper.
