Summary/Abstract: In this article, we shall discuss the relationship of Cioran with some of his colleagues of generation, namely the most representative. We chose, as examples, Mircea Eliade, Eugen Ionescu, Constantin Noica, Mircea Vulcănescu, Petre Comarnescu and Mihail Sebastian. We were interested in their coherence as a group, but also in their diversity proved in their articles, essays, and memories. We identified recurring elements in the works of Cioran’s colleagues of generation. The ideology of the generation was to follow Nae Ionescu in his nationalism and thus to put an end to the country’s cultural and political isolation. Some representatives of the generation refused to get involved in the 1930s events, others took advantage of the political evironment and chose the exile, many others died in the Romanian communists prisons. We believe that the "young generation" was the most effervescent generation the Romanian nation had, a generation created and hosted by the political realities of the moment, later on condamned by historians. Bibliographic sources used in this article consist mainly in articles published by the "young generation" in the interwar period, and in collections that bring together some of their texts published in exile. We chose the works of the „young generation” that counted strictly on the need to reform, on the transfiguration of the Romanian society, on the relationship with history
