Summary/Abstract: Identity card is one of the nine identification documents in Bosnia and Herzegovina aimed for citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina. This is the most numerous identification document which has been personalized in over 4,5 million copies since the introduction of electronic system. Due to many innovations adopted by the Law on the Amendments to the Law on Identity Cards of Bosnia and Herzegovina Nationals, published in the Official Gazette of Bosnia and Herzegovina No.18/12, the need for this work that would briefly present the innovations in this field implemented since the beginning of the issuance of the new identity card, i.e.since 1st March 2013 was recognized.
