Summary/Abstract: In 2014, a new edition of Cella Serghi's novel "Gentiane" was added to the "Biblioteca pentru Toti" collection, edited by "Jurnalul National". The book was first published in 1970, in a time of cultural freedom. The narrative takes place under the sign of memory, as proven by the quotation from Guillame Apollinaire, that opens the confessions: "O my memory/ Have we sailed enough/ In waters unfit to drink/ Have we rambled enough/ From the bright sunrise into the sad night". From this point onward, the entire narrative can be perceived as a proustian journey in search of lost time.
