The Good and the Bad Sides of the European Union’s Eastern Partnership

Summary/Abstract: The article seeks to provide a synthetic assessment of the European Union’s Eastern Partnership, which is perceived as one of the key instruments of EU’s Eastern Policy. The author presents the genesis of this ambitious undertaking, followed by its principles, institutions and mechanisms, as well as the financial and economic aspects. In the final part of the article, the author examines both the shortcomings of the Partnership and its undeniable achievements.
