Summary/Abstract: Working time regulatory problems in the health care sector have existed for a long time. Due to variety of reasons, healthcare personnel work longer working hours as it is provided in legislative acts. They are in breach of imperative rules which govern working and rest time. Often health professionals’ overtime is documented as extra work for them and it is not being paid adequate. For the purpose of implementing the working time rules in the health sector, it is necessary to take into account the specific of health care, the need of health care specialists’ and their payment.This article provides an overview of causes of health care workers differentiated working time, short-time working and labour relations when health care personnel are employed by several employers.
