Summary/Abstract: The success does not certify value. A work of art may be successful at one time and then completely forgotten by future generations. On the other hand, works of art that were unnoticed by their contemporaries are later discovered as masterpieces. This essay deals on writers discovering forgotten or unknown writers and their works, and on writers whose heroes are unsuccessful writers.
