Summary/Abstract: News agencies are important for the dissemination of ethnic minority issues in national languages. By educating the public and allowing the minority community to be part of society, news agencies play a role in the improvement of inter-ethnic tolerance. deScripto talked to journalists and project managers working for privately owned news agencies and organisations in the region, revealing the challenges and potential of ethnic minority coverage.
