Summary/Abstract: The study of ancient culture in the settlement area of today’s Bosnia and Herzegovina is based on original material, which consists of epigraphic monuments, and geographical - itinerary documents. Unfortunately, till now only a few cities and towns can be accurately located, while for the majority of them, it still could not be given precise solutions. A key place is that which appears in the sources named Baloie. The research presented in this paper would provide a possible conclusion to this settlement and the travel stop of the Roman road that led from Servitij to Salone, to be look for somewhere near today’s Mrkonjic Grad – location Baljvine on the river Vrbas. In this case, the antique Indenea could be connected to a nearby area Majdan, Sarute around Šipovo, and antique materials around and in Jajce for settlement Sapua. Besides, toponym Deur, slightly north of today’s Mrkonjić Grad could be connected to Illyrian people Deur, who could be located on this area.
