Summary/Abstract: The author studies three specific cases of language and (partially) identity change in the context of the problems encountered by literary critics while tracing the borders of a national literature. The analysis concerns the works of Agota Kristof, Terézia Mora, Melinda Nadj Abonji, who are equally preoccupied with redefining their identity from the perspective of their migration experience, as well as with questions of ethnic origins and identity, the biographic factors which place these writers in a very special cultural situation.
