Folk clothing of Pszczyna as the feature of regional identity of its inhabitants

Summary/Abstract: The author of the text, being an ethnographer, has analyzed in detail the folk clothing of Pszczyna. She describes its characteristic elements with great accuracy and thoroughly, taking into account what type of material they were made of, how they were cut out and sewn, what occasions or celebrations they were worn on. The text complements the existing knowledge on Pszczyna women’s and men’s attire: both daily and special (ceremonial) clothing. The author also points out to the elements of the dress that have stood the test of time and are worn until today.
