Summary/Abstract: The text analyses the issues of defining the notions of aggression and violence. Different ways of understanding these phenomena, and sample definition formulae are quoted. These phenomena are analysed in an interdisciplinary way, in the following perspectives: psychological; sociological; pedagogical; biological and physiological; legal; criminological; communicative, as well as cultural; theological, religious and biblical; semantic and pragmatic; historical and political; ethical and moral; philosophical and ideological. The possibility of the investigation of the phenomena of violence and aggression have been taken in other perspectives. The whole is a piece of research and an attempt to target the possibility of thinking about the problems of aggression and violence in their various dimensions.
