Summary/Abstract: The research that we have started some time ago in shadows animation took shape by publishing the volume of “The Shadow Theater Art”. Normally, theoretical considerations have sought expression in a new application stage, an acknowledgment in a professional theatre institution. One of the wonderful stories contained in "The Legends of Olympus", written by Alexander Mitru, is related to Prometheus. This approach was done by staging the show "Prometheus" at Theater for Children and Youth "Vasilache" from Botosani. The shadows theater, originating in ancient India, is filled with essences of Hinduism, perception and asian thinking. The world is a reflection of reality and not reality itself. Art is a form, and inside is "packed" the absolute truth, divine. Life, as we see, is an illusion, a projection. Epic evocation of Prometheus and ancient times, the worlds with different densities seemed to be right revealed by hallucinatory game of shadows. Making this show, we tried to use many opportunities offered to the variant of the shadows with spotlights obtain that mimics traditional oil lamp. We discovered, along with the actors, through trials and experiments, different ways of creating perspective, effects of appearance-disappearance of the characters on the screen, modeling of light using water and other transparent materials. The shadows theater is rather less common and known in Europe. But it is an area with vast potentialities which we think will gain in importance due his aesthetic modernity, despite the considerable age of this art. Inventiveness and possibilities of combining the latest technologies in theater, television and film are also arguments to support the above statement.
