Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this legal opinion is to examine the proposal submitted to the Speaker of the Sejm on 9 November 2011 by a group of Deputies requesting “ issuance of an order requiring the removal of a Latin cross located in the chamber of the Sejm”. The author claims that the request of a group of Deputies is not legitimate and based on a false and tendentious interpretation of the law. In his view, nobody has the right to demand that the Catholic majority live according to these principles, which he/she does not believe to be right, as this would mean a gross violation of that majority’s right to self-determination in their own country.
