Summary/Abstract: The paper explores the visual construction of identity of the City of Mostar as a series of semantic identity maps. Through the sketches of the city based on its historic cultural differences (the East, the West, transitional and modern society), one observes the basic identity questions also as the basic culture-related issues. This urban landscape is regarded on a broad scale: from the Old Bridge, through some artistic representations, to a modern shopping mall.
