Summary/Abstract: The article, based on a theoretical analysis of published sources and archival materials considers cultural and political cooperation of Polish and Ukrainian intellectuals in the context of the Polish national liberation movement of the late XVIII–XIX century . The influence of the Polish secret societies on the political and cultural life of the Ukrainian people was evident and obvious. The author draws attention to the process of consolidation of separate regional art centers of Ukraine, which were in close cultural relations with foreign culture.
