Summary/Abstract: This article is an excerpt of the thesis „The role of the Public Library in the immigration-and integration policies of the Netherlands“. Aim of this study is to show that the Public Library has a very important function for immigrants as a meeting place and study center, where they can learn the Dutch language and other facts about the Netherlands.
