Summary/Abstract: The article represents phonetic characteristics of the Udmurt manuscript translation of Gospel according to St. John. The main purpose of the work is the analysis of dialect base of the manuscript translation. The author also considers two alphabet books (1847) in the Sarapul and Glazov dialects of Udmurt and comes to the conclusion about the dialect base of the translation.
