The Concept of Causa in Roman Law

Summary/Abstract: This article concerns about the term „causa“ or „causa“ as philosophical or legal term. The article is divided into three main parts. The first part is dedicated to the different meanings og the notion of causa as the grammatical, philosophical and legal expression, the second part is dedicated to the importance of causa for roman lawyers and the last part aims at further fate of the learning of causa in the medieval and modern law.
