Summary/Abstract: The article presents further illustrations of the idea how research in anthropology can be conducted by groups of researchers, which idea was put forward and developed by the author in a previous publication in the series Papers in Anthropology (NBU, vol. 4, Sofia 2003, pp. 171-193: "The Anthropologist on the Field and the Field within the Anthropologist"). The emphasis this time is on presenting the research methodology of one specific anthropological study, entitled "Economic Growth and Social Optimism", and on the provisional conclusions drawn upon completion of the fieldwork. The finalised findings of the project are to be found in: "An Optimistic Theory about the Pessimism of the Transition": Capital Daily Newspaper, April, 10-16 2004, 'Club Capital’, a 12-page supplement dedicated to the report of the study and a discussion of its outcomes by leading economists, bankers, politologists, editors of newspapers etc. "An Optimistic Theory about the Pessimism of the Transition": Dnevnik Daily Newspaper, March 30th 2004, p.8; "An Optimistic Theory about the Pessimism of the Transition": 24 Hours Daily Newspaper, March 30th 2004, p. 1-16-17; as well as on the Internet page of the Department of Anthropology at the New Bulgarian University http://www.nbu.bg/departments/d2.php?p=apl&l=projects.
