CONCERTO FOR ORCHESTRA BY OVIDIU VARGA (1913 – 1993)

Summary/Abstract: Musician with broad cultural openness, appreciated both for his creative work, but especially for that in the realm of musicology, OvidiuV arga led for nearly two decades (1951 - 1968), the Romanian musical destiny of the Romanian Radio-Television as its Musical Director, he was lecturer at the Department of esthetics and professor at the Music History department at the Bucharest Conservatory. When it comes to his musicological work, he proved himself by numerous studies and articles in the specialized press, but also in the weekly and daily press, by numerous scientific lectures, lesson-concerts, radio shows, conferences both in the country and abroad.
