Summary/Abstract: The text reviewed by the author was written in connection with a symposium organized by the Jewish Intelligentsia Club at the editorial office of Przełom in 1947, on the third anniversary of Emanuel Ringelblum’s death, In it, Henryk Jabłoński presented his pre-war contacts with Ringelblum and his scientific legacy. He portrayed his elder colleague as a conscientious historian who followed on an ongoing basis the achievements of other researchers, analysed in depth various opinions about the role of the Jews in the history of Poland and engaged in scientific polemics in a tactful and substantive manner
