Summary/Abstract: Nation-nationalism and people-populism are two very strong pair of words from a semiotic and political approach. Victor Neumann builds a short descriptive history of the concepts in Europe. Ceauşescu, Jivkov and Brejnev are some of the political leaders that used the nationalism in order to keep their power as long as possible.
