Summary/Abstract: A Relatively New, Yet Old Word in Romanian: Corpus. This paper focuses on the noun corpus by revealing the way it became part of the Romanian language despite inherent developments or discontinued use. First, it must be noted that according to the main dictionaries available, the term in question had a rather sinuous development in Romanian. Therefore, the contribution of this article is a rediscussion about the origins of an increasingly used term in linguistics studies which has been assigned various meanings.
