Summary/Abstract: The need for cross-cultural communication in business has been ardously reflected in numerous studies an dis often referred to intercultural communication. As such the similarities and differences between countries are significant for the development of a successful business. This paper aims at highlighting the importance of cultural situations on English and German speaking territories stressing the way of politeness and contextual behaviour, for a better understanding and unfolding efficient relationships.
