Summary/Abstract: We discuss the recent book of Gabriel Hasmațuchi, which centers on the perspective of Nichifor Crainic. One of the most controvesial intellectuals of Romania, especially due to his extreme right-wing support between the World Wars, Crainic’s philosophy of culture is put under a objective and still comprehensible scrutiny by Gabriel Hasmațuchi. We touch upon the relantionship between theology and philosophy and we discuss the relevance of the Crainic’s work for today’s understanding of Romanian culture.
