Summary/Abstract: Behavioural primatologists and evolutionary psychologists consider morality in three aspects: the tendency to prosocial behaviour, sense of fairness and empathy. This article provides an overview of studies and reports, summarizing the current state of knowledge about the morality in primates - in all aforementioned aspects. A lot of empirical research has been conducted so far, but few of them provide hard evidence for the existence of morality among primates. Moreover, inconsistent results in a single approach of the different research teams induce to reflect on this situation.
