Summary/Abstract: The elitist cinematographic consumption addresses people with a strong cultural background and a mature understanding. It recreates new patterns in the cinematographic art and develops a new manner of watching a movie. Contrasting with the mass Hollywood movies, Almodovar pellicles are the results of the intertextuality of all old and new forms of culture. Based on the daily life in a postmodern society, Almodvar movies explore the symbols and coincidences of a temperamental world that boils in its own living flesh. While the Spanish director stamps down on literary bestsellers, a new indie subculture is ready to create an elitist niche who feels unique and special on its no-mainstream path.
