A TRANSLATOR'S REFLECTIONS ON GUILLAUME'S VOCABULARY

Summary/Abstract: This short essay draws certain consequences from an extended engagement with translating a selection of Guillaume’s texts into German. It became obvious during the course of this work that among the recurring terms that constitute Guillaume’s specific linguistic vocabulary, not all words matter equally. The ranking I am here endeavouring to establish among them takes the shape of four concentric circles.
