Summary/Abstract: The author, the head of the Department of Education of the Muzeum Sztuki Łódź, interprets the past of its museum in terms of new museology. He examines the museum archives and ideological heritage discovering surprisingly modern views in the beginning of 30s of 20th Century in ideas of Marian Minich, the first director of the muzeum, and Władysław Strzemiński, the founder of “a.r.” group. He assess his own museum activity as unintentional reprise of their thoughts.
