Summary/Abstract: Spatial planning is an interdisciplinary scientific and professional field which in the space of years evolved in a specific way. This work Thesis presents how changing conditions, especially legal, affected content of planning study at the turn of XX and XXI century. It's shown in the example of fragment of the city of Poznan. Analysis of particular plans from 1975-2008 allowed to study their diverse approach to space management and also to look holistically on over 30 years old dimension of regional planning in Poznan. Comparison of land use in the last years of the analysis, in turn revealed degree of implementation and rightness of zonings' records. Twofold attitude to this subject contributed to draw a conclusions and confront changing planning decisions and theirs results with paradigms of land management, namely spatial order and sustainable development
