Summary/Abstract: In September of 2003 began the first phase of underwater archaeological investigations of the remains of the Emperor Trajan’s famous bridge built over the Danube to assist the Roman invasion of Dacia. Till now hydrographic measurements using multibeam sonar were performed in the zone of the remains on the whole section of the bridge, while other, non-destructive investigations, were localised just on the Serbian side of the river.
