Summary/Abstract: The Roman necropolis at Barbosi contained the graves investigated in the proximity of the fort, as well as the graves mapped near the town of Galaţi, and extended considerably to the north. The necropolis lay along the public road that crossed the Danube’s ford, following the course of the Siret River into Barbaricum.
