Summary/Abstract: By making use of the comparative approach method, this research identifies and underlines some of the various types of female characters. Their (un)limited life potential and, in the end, their whole greatness of still being modern, is brought into discussion by this study that follows them in the time and space described by French & British novels of the 18th century.
