University Teachers on Students and Studying (Report from the survey studies carried out at the University of Łódź)

Summary/Abstract: This compilation is based on materials from survey studies carried out in December and January 2009/2010 among professors, assistant professors and PHDs employed at the University of Łódź. The survey probed into the opinions of academic teachers on their students and their behaviors during studies. A 200-hundred random sample was selected among those university teachers who had tutored BA and MA diploma seminars in the previous year. The survey was delivered to respondents by interviewers and then collected personally by them. Filled-in questionnaires were returned in sealed, same, unmarked envelopes, which ensured respondents anonymity. The survey was a success; with the use (in a limited number of cases) of the substituted sample, in total, 200 filled-in questionnaires were collected. The results may thus be generalized over the whole population under study.
