Summary/Abstract: After the short analysis of the two segment onsets and two segment codas in Bosnian syllable inventory we can form a conclusion that the distribution of segments is to be defined with the combination of two principles – Sonority Sequencing Principle (SSP) and Inner Phonemic Time Principle (IPTP). Altough most of the onsets and the codas are formed according to both principles, some of the syllables are based only on one of the two principles. Some of the typical onsets in Bosnian are formed only according IPTP, wich emphasizes the importance of this principle and invites phonologists to pay more scientific attention to the category of the inner phonemic time.
