Summary/Abstract: The article presents the concept of using input-output methods to build a Sport Satellite Account (SSA) for Poland. Construction of the SSA for Poland is a response to the expectations of the European Commission in developing methods for determining the economic dimension of sport. The aim of this study was to determine the participation of a wide range of sporting activities in the Polish GDP and estimate the direct and full contribution of this activity in creating value added and employment. The article also contains a brief description of the results
