The Catholic Church in Contemporary Poland in the Service of Youth. Basic Directions and Tasks, Forms and Methods in the Pastoral Ministry of Youth

Summary/Abstract: This article deals with some problems regarding the modern situation of pastoral care in Poland. Firstly I define youth care: the main goal, object and subject of pastoral care. This definition is followed by an outline of the directions youth care should take and an illustration of the development of youth pastoral care in Poland since the beginning of this century. Finally, I provide an analysis of the main forms and methods of operation of modern Polish youth pastoral care.
