Foreign exchange risks for businesses in Poland

Summary/Abstract: Turmoil on the financial markets and fluctuations in economic growth can cause large changes in the currency valuation rates, especially in developing countries. Therefore currency risk is one of the important factors to be considered by enterprises involved in investment activity on the international marketplace. This article, outlines what hedging or exchange risk strategy management, businesses should employ and which of the various tools and techniques of the foreign exchange market they should use, to limit exchange risk or to eliminate it entirely. The paper show also what instruments were used in Poland to hedge exchange risk in 2004-2010
