Summary/Abstract: This article presents geopoetics in the original English and French works of Kenneth White, the founder of the International Institute of Geopoetics. The movement focuses on the relationship between literature and the natural environment. Rooted in literary studies, geopoetics has developed since the 1970s, with approaches ranging from green reading and writing, green studies, literature-environmental studies to ecocriticism and ecofeminism. Kronenberg discusses green reading and writing, and contextualizes geopoetics within the changes taking place in the humanities’ development towards ecological humanism, also known as eco-posthumanism.
